Robin Hood Business Services

In early 2016, after careers spanning manufacturing, engineering, real estate sales, financial planning, and corporate quality, Scott found himself between jobs. While on a visit to Thief River Falls, he did a random internet search which turned up a position in merchant services – basically helping merchants with their point of sale systems (POS) and credit card processing.


Because it involved aspects of technology, process, and sales, the merchant services job seemed like a good fit to him. He also noticed it was something few others in the area were doing, so it looked like a good opportunity. In the first week of knocking on doors, Scott had his first eight clients. In the first year, he had close to 100.


Because the business is not about selling, but instead about working with merchants to find solutions that deliver more for less, the business continued to grow. What started out with just Scott as the solitary sales representative became My Card Guys in 2018, and then Robin Hood Business Services in 2020.

Scott chose Robin Hood Business Services as the new business name because it represents the company’s approach to everyday business – rebels fighting for the little guy against the forces of evil. In 2021, Tony Dorn POS was acquired, which cemented the move for Robin Hood Business Services from just stand-alone terminals to fully integrated POS systems. Along the way, Eazy Pack-N-Ship (2019) and QuickPrint (2020) were also acquired in the quest to build a one-stop solution for small business.


The adventure continues as we add new sales reps and new territories. A special shout out to our newest reps, Tom and Michelle, and to our newest market, Wichita, Kansas. We hope you will join us on our journey!

Scott loves traveling the area, connecting with and helping local merchants. With a B.S. in Engineering and M.S. in Management of Technology, Scott has what it takes to sort through all the hype and industry scams to bring you fair, honest, and reliable solutions.

Grand Forks Region Sales Consultant

Michelle has a passion for helping companies increase their profits, and find great solutions. Her experience ranges from start-ups to large corporations, including global market leaders Gateway, HP, 3M and Digi-Key. Michelle lives in Thief River Falls where she enjoys skiing, hunting, camping, fishing and exploring the great outdoors with her two Vizslas.

Ben comes to us with the acquisition of Tony Dorn POS. With over eight years experience in building menus and implementing POS solutions, Ben is a resource you'll be glad to have in your corner!

Install & Repair Technician

Chris hails from many places, but we were lucky to find him living nearby. Chris is a quick learner with a natural and outstanding problem solving ability. If you have an equipment issue, Chris will most likely be the one at your door to fix it!

Project Manager

Derek works with customers to insure all aspects of the POS perform as expected -- from the installation to the menu programing as well as conducting training.

Layle keeps the copies rolling and coordinates all the office supply and furniture orders. If you need custom design for brochures, letterhead, or business cards, Layle is your go-to person!
